Our Story

ARBORETUM

Columbia Gardens Cemetery has been awarded a Level II Accreditation by The ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program and The Morton Arboretum for achieving standards of professional practices for arboreta and botanic gardens.  Our national arboretum status is based on the care of our grounds, preservation of our trees and management of our environment.  As you walk through our beautiful grounds, you will see that many of our tree species are marked with signs that have QR codes to provide an enhanced learning experience for our visitors. Our arboretum offers families, visitors and members of our community a peaceful setting for reflection in natural surroundings.

SPONSOR A TREE TO HONOR A LOVED ONE

Planting a tree on our grounds is a lovely way to pay tribute to a loved one. Your tree will be near the gravesite and have a placard with your loved one’s name and a QR code, which links to your tribute of their life. Our office will work with you to select your tree and can help you arrange a dedication ceremony for the planting. As a nationally accredited arboretum, Columbia Gardens welcomes any donations towards adding trees to our grounds.
